End to End

We see high performing employees getting rewarded, what makes them stand out, why are they getting rewarded and not you?

You are doing what you have been asked to do and you keep delivering day after day!

so what the hell is happening?

Well, we are living through the rise of the end to end ____ (your job title)

i know your are thinking, end to what?

The end to end employee often acts as an intrepreneur,

they think of the idea

have a vision

Develop a strategy

And put it into action.

the average employees sticks to what their job entails, but that doesn't work anymore, here is how you become an end to end employee:

Let go of the fear

You feel hesitant or you feel fear to step into an unknown territory? which is completely normal, anytime we are about to do something we never did, we feel fear.

The fear comes when you are about to interact with the market, your new interaction could result in a change your situation permanently, your new idea or project could be a success or a failure.

Be mindful, and call yourself out when you are starting to bullshit yourself you might find yourself delaying a pitch of a new idea or you will start extra polishing and getting stuck on every little small detail, deep inside you know, you feel the fear, just call yourself out and go ahead, just ship.

Brain hack: Every time you feel scared, tell yourself, you are onto something great.

Start rigorous thinking

State Facts:

Things you can point to, and are true

Example:

Light bulbs in this restaurant are cold and flickery.

Have Insights

A point of view about a fact.

Example:

Light bulbs in this restaurant are cold and flickery, it makes the room feel sterile and uncomfortable.

Make Assertions

Making a recommendation and a suggestion based on the fact.

Light bulbs in this restaurant are cold and flickery, it makes the room feel sterile and uncomfortable. I recommend that they change the lights for something warmer, that will change the ambiance of the restaurant, Which improves the customer experience.

Bosses love when you do this, don't just give facts and insights

Make assertions and give recommendations.

The job requirements

The work that you need to do, doesn't come with a list of instructions.

Organizations hire you to do the job requirements, you need to do A, B, C and D, the moment you stop fulfilling those requirements, they will find someone who does and replace you!

No body wants to be in this position, feeling like you are replaceable just sucks!

The work that doesn't come with a list of instructions is what makes you valuable and irreplaceable, and the more skills your acquire by doing the work that doesn't come with instructions, the more the end to end you become.

Here is how it goes

You need think of the idea

have the vision

Develop a strategy

And you need to put it into action too.

Employee #1

Hey boss,

I think we should start posting videos on LinkedIn to share about our product but

I don't know how to make videos.

I don't know how to do a script.

but you know, there's my idea

let's hire someone on fiver to execute it.

Employee #2

Hey boss,

I think we should start posting videos on LinkedIn to share about our product

I've drafted a script,

it should be two minutes each because they i saw that they perform best

I used my iPhone with little tripod, And recorded myself talking about the product,

I edited it in iMovie to trim out any LOLs and I created a fake LinkedIn So I could show you how it would look like for the customer.

If we realize that our customers are liking these videos, then we find someone on fiver who can help us execute faster.

Pick which employee you want to be.
